The cost of a bachelor’s course, at a public institution, is around €900 to €4,000 per year. Fees at a private institution usually cost, on average, €6,000 to €20,000 per year. Italian institutions and the government provide scholarships based on the student’s financial situation and academic merit.
Unibo Action 1&2:
University of Bologna offers First Cycle, Second Cycle or Single Cycle Degree Programme international students:
- Tuition fee waivers (Unibo Action 1).
- Study grants of €11,000 gross (Unibo Action 2);
The study grants and the tuition fee waivers are assigned on the basis of SAT and GRE, and some TOLC tests, for one academic year.
- First/Single Cycle Programs : 5 study grants worth € 11,059 each (Unibo Action 2) and full tuition fee waivers for a total amount of €16,000 (Unibo Action 1)

Requirements :A valid qualification to the degree programme, issued by an Institution outside of the Italian education system.
Students should be less that 30 years old upon the deadline of the call for application.
Politecnico di Milano :
Politecnico di Milano offers a plethora of merit based scholarships to deserving international candidates admitted to a Master of Science programme. Students obtaining a scholarship will have to pay only a non-refundable administrative fee of about €200.
Eligibility : All the admitted students with a complete dossier (language certificate included by the deadline). No separate application for scholarships. The Politecnico di Milano offers 3 types scholarship schemes, which is transferred to beneficiary’s account in 2-3 installments:
- PLATINUM Scholarships :Worth €10,000 gross per year + tuition fees waiver.
- GOLD Scholarships :Worth €5,000 per year + tuition fees waiver.
- SILVER Scholarships: Corresponding to a tuition fee waiver, covers the total amount of fees for the academic year.

Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation ( MAECI ) offers scholarships to foreign and Italian students residing abroad, with the aim of promoting cooperation in the cultural field , scientific and technological, the projection of the economic system of Italy in the world and the spread of knowledge of the Italian language and culture
For 2020-21, the scholarships are intended exclusively for renewal for the completion of study which is already underway in 2019-20 at Italian state or legally recognized institutions.
Eligibility:Master’s Degree,Courses of Higher Education in Arts, Music, and Dance (AFAM), PhD program, Research under academic supervision (Progetti in co-tutela), and Italian Language and Culture Courses.
Students must not be over 28 years for Masters programme.
Scholarships:
The scholarship covers only the attendance of courses in Italy.
- Beneficiary students will receive a 900 Euros monthly allowance on a quarterly basis.
- Depending on the policy of the university, may be exempted from the payment of enrollment and tuition fees.
- Will be covered by a health and medical/accident insurance contracted by MAECI for the entire duration of the grant.

The University Of Piemonte i.e.The Politecnico of Torino, the University of Torino, the University of Eastern Piedmont Offers scholarships to international Students on the basis of academic achievements or Economic requirements, of all the student applications.
Eligibility Full-time Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree, Single Cycle Master’s degree, or PhD Degree courses. Part-time students can apply if enrolled in a bachelor’s degree. The scholarship amount varies depending on many conditions.
